For consecutive years 2022 and 2023 Glastonbury Amateur Baseball captured the 13U CT American Legion State Championship defeating Cranston RI 6 to 3 July 30th at Riverfront Park.

After starting their summer season with 1 win and 5 losses, GAB 13U went on a 6 game winning streak and won 11 of their next 12 games. Setting the stage for a magical run to the state tournament and championship.

13U defeated Rocky Hill Cromwell Portland (RCP), So. Windsor and Cranston to get to State Final and defeated  #1 seed Cranston again 6 to 3 in State Championship. A team they got mercy ruled (10 to 0) after 5 innings earlier in regular season.

Hard work, perseverance and teamwork were key ingredients to this special group. 

Glastonbury’s Cole Fletcher was awarded State Tournament Most Valuable Player and Brandon Azemi awarded State Tournament best hitter.
