Glastonbury 13U 2022 State Champions

Congratulations Glastonbury 13U for #1 seed in State American Legion Baseball Tournament and winning the State Championship July 30, 2022 at Riverfront Park 7 to 0 vs Torrington Post 38. Glastonbury was 5-0 in the State Tournament and finished the 2022 Season with 23 wins and 3 losses.

2022 Fall Registration Underway

GAB Fall baseball registration is now open. The season will start just after Labor Day and wrap up in mid to late October.   Tryout information will be posted on the GAB homepage.

Big Diamond Program Teams

The Big Diamond Program is designed for players who have completed eligibility in the Glastonbury Little League 60-foot diamond program with the conclusion of the this years GLL season. GAB Big Diamond is an instructional program with team practices and instructional games to teach players to play baseball on the 90-foot field. GHS Varsity Baseball Coach, Dennis Accomando, helps GAB with the Big Diamond program. Includes weekly instruction and games against CT Zone 3 Am Legion Programs.

Registration Fees for Big Diamond - $250

American Legion Fall Teams

GAB will field teams for the Fall Connecticut American Legion seasons. We are expecting to field teams in the 13U, 15U, 17U and 19U divisions.

Drew Curto and Danny Cantafi receive Spring Baseball Honors

Congratulations to Drew Curto Selected All-State


GHS and GAB players Drew Curto and Danny Cantafi were recently honored for their Spring 2022 High School baseball season.

Junior 2nd baseman Curto was selected CHSCA All-State and was selected  All Conference West Division of the Central CT Conference. Drew is pictured with GHS Varsity Baseball Coach Dennis Accomando at the State Banquet. 

Senior Shortstop and Pitcher Cantafi was selected All Conference West Division of Central CT Conference and will be attending Keene State University this fall to play baseball for the Owls in the Little East Conference.  

Both players are having successful summer seasons on the Glastonbury Amateur Baseball 19U Travel team competing in the CT State American Legion Baseball League.

Congratulations to GHS Senior Danny Cantafi on committing to Keene State. Danny a GAB starting Pitcher and Shortstop will become an Owl next year in Keene NH. The Owls recently hired former University of Hartford Coach Justin Blood who took over The Owls top spot from legendary coach Ken Howe who retired after 35 years. Continued success Danny from GAB.

          GAB 13U Celebrates first fall home game with walk off win

After a highly successful summer season where Glastonbury Little League’s 12-year-old Majors Baseball teams competed for District and Sectional titles, players have graduated to the Big Diamond and Glastonbury Amateur Baseball (GAB’s) Fall Travel program. GAB has 2 teams competing in the CT American Legion State 13U Division. In their home opener Tuesday Night September 14th at Riverfront Park, Glastonbury 13U Team 1 treated a large home crowd to a walk off win against Northeast 13U. Northeast 13U is comprised of players from Tolland, Ashford, Stafford, Union and Willington. Glastonbury Team 1 has only given up 2 runs in their first two games this fall and play again Saturday September 18 at Riverfront Park versus South Windsor, who they tied 1 to 1 in 8 innings on September 11th in South Windsor.
